Every since 9/11 we have been at war with terrorist. But have we really? We were told they hate us for our freedoms and our way of life, however, we have been surrendering our rights at an alarming rate and our way of life is changing so rapidly, it seems it is minute by minute. If the reason for the attacks on 9/11 were correct then the terrorist have won. Hands down, no questions asked, they have won. They took our freedoms and changed our way of life in the past 15 years more so than any other time in American history.
Yes we are at war, but who are we really at war with? Who is our number one enemy in this “war on terrorism?” Taliban, Al Quada, Isis, Isil, have all been mentioned and defined as the enemy, but I can’t name one freedom these groups have taken from us. If you were honest with yourself, can you name one?
Take the immediate actions after 9/11 as a perfect example of the fictitious war. Before the facts were known or an investigation was concluded the Patriot Act was rolled out. The private sector was removed from providing security at our airports and replaced with the government bureaucracy, the T.S.A.. The N.S.A. was waiting in the wings to institute their massive surveillance program of all, even the innocent. All in the name of keeping us safe.
So how is this taking our liberties? In many ways and it is largely ignored by the media as well as the people of America. Take the N.S.A. program for instance. It catalogs and records emails, phone calls, transactions and even social media post of everyone, without warrant or suspicion of crime. This is a blatant violation of the fourth amendment where we have the right to be secure in our person, papers, house, and effects. The fourth amendment also goes on to say that a warrant has to be provided, by judge, under oath, of the place to be searched and the property to be seized. The N.S.A. offers no such warrant.
There are so many ways that the enemy is winning this abattle of our way of life and leading us down a very dangerous road as far as the Republic’s freedoms and liberties are concerned. In times of war, peace, or growing threats, it is imperative we maintain our rights and our way of life. If we give in, even just a little, it is one battle won for them and one battle lost for us in this war.
We are now seeing the battlefront move to America in the form of mass shootings and sleeper cells operating inside our borders. Right on queue the government is calling for more control, resources, and liberties to fight this problem. Without even addressing the fact that we, through horrible foreign policy, created, armed and funded the terrorist we are seeing wanting to attack us today.
The shooting in San Bernardino, California was said to have been carried out by two individuals radicalized abroad and then carried out on our soil. This was the biggest domestic terrorist attack in America since 9/11. What does the government blame? Here is where it just gets silly.
First we were told that it was lack of jobs that lead to the surge of Isis and their growing war with us. This would be comical coming from an elementary student, but this mentality comes from the State Department through there press conferences.
“We can not kill our way out of this war…we have to go after the root cause of Isis…lack of jobs.” – Marie Harf, State Department Spokesperson.
When I heard this I couldn’t believe what I was hearing from the Federal level. This was a very sad attempt to combat terror and to put American fears at ease. At the time of this statement, millions of Americans were out of work, but none declared war against the government. This remains confusing to this day as it was nearly 8 months ago.
The stupidity and lack of leadership from this administration didn’t end there though. The next attempt to address the war on terrorism was to blame the weather. Yes, the weather. Oh excuse me, climate change.
One of those at the forefront in this “blame climate change for terrorism” is Presidential candidate and Socialist, Bernie Sanders. He has stated many times his thoughts and views on this silly excuse of terrorism.
“If we are going to see an increase in drought, in flood, and extreme weather disturbances as a result of climate change, what that means is that people all over the world are going to be fighting over limited natural resources,” the Democratic candidate said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.
“If there is not enough water, if there is not enough land to grow your crops, then you’re going to see migrations of people fighting over land that will sustain them. And that will lead to international conflict,” He continued to say.
Something that Sanders may not be aware of is that there are droughts all over the world. I haven’t seen it lead to a war with america. There are even droughts in California, yet, I have yet to see Californians wage war on other Americans.
All of this talk about global warming or climate change is an attempt to transfer our wealth, yet again, through taxes. It is meant to get the 5% carbon tax passed and raise taxes in the guise that government can “save us” from this horrible climate change. Take the focus off the real problem and use this as an attempt to get an agenda passed. Typical Washington politics.
Now we had an attack from what has been described as “radicalized Islamist inspired by Isis” in the form of a mass shooting in California. Without hesitation, or logic, the President addressed the nation this time blaming gun ownership as the problem. In the case of the Oregon shooter, the Ft. Hood shooter, the Aurora shooter, and now this one in California, it is the guns fault and not the person.
What is the government solution? To make it harder for law abiding citizens to acquire firearms. How will this help fight the war on Terrorism? It won’t, yet President Obama used this time of sorrow after a terrorist attack to talk and scold Americans on gun ownership and push gun control measures.
This administration has been weak in foreign policy and has offered no real solution on how to handle Isis. He has been very effective at taking rights away from the American people however.
President Obama’s crowning achievement has been the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare as it has been dubbed. Playing on the heartstrings of Americans he was able to push, forcibly, this legislation through Congress. The many lies surrounding this policy is now coming to light, but it was obvious from the onset. All one had to do was listen, without agenda, and the math would have been seen.
Obamacare has instituted many new taxes and the one that gets talked about the most is the medical device tax. This is just another way of transferring our wealth, once again, to the big brother system and the banking cartel. In fact this was never about healthcare, but government control healthcare. From the massive amount of tax payer money of the website, to the now infamous “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” statement, we are seeing this legislation as failure. Many people who were forced to give up their doctor that have have trusted for many years are now even seeing an increase in their cost of insurance. The exact opposite of what the bill was suppose to achieve.
Socialize healthcare, spying programs, airport molestation, gun control attempts in the name of security, military exercises aimed at the homeland and it’s citizens, fictitious monetary system, bailouts at tax payer’s expense and so much more, clearly and precisely shows the war is against us. Many don’t even know they are in a war, let alone who the enemy is. In the next coming months, even years, there are going to be many more attempts at our freedoms and liberties and none will be made by terrorist, but our own elected officials instead. It is time to get off the sidelines and engage in this conflict that is resulting in a loss of true freedoms from individuals and a direct usurp of the Constitutional Republic.
